Seven Seas Anime Expo 2026 Licenses: All 15 in One Place

The Seven Seas Anime Expo 2026 panel brought fifteen new licenses, and the publisher posted the full list on July 4, 2026. Nearly half of it is Japanese manga due in 2027. For readers of Chinese web novels, the news sits at the bottom of the list: one danmei novel and three baihe novels, all large-trim paperbacks, all with exact 2027 dates now.

Every Seven Seas Anime Expo 2026 License

Here they are in the order Seven Seas posted them. Dates and prices are the announcement's unless the row says "series page," which means Seven Seas has since set an exact date. Prices are US list prices for Volume 1.

The count reaches fifteen because the "Villain" Commander is two licenses, a manga and a light novel, so it's fourteen books in all. Four of them carry no imprint or label in the announcement; the rest are spread over eight, from Ghost Ship to the two Chinese novel labels.

What Has Changed Since the Panel

Three things moved after July.

One title is already out. Distorted I Love You is Yoru Sumino's supernatural novel, from the author of I Want to Eat Your Pancreas. The announcement promised the audiobook for August 2026, and the Seven Seas series page now lists it at August 6, 2026, running 10 hours 17 minutes. Paul Dateh and Aria Saltini narrate. Everything else in the wave is dated 2027.

The Chinese novels got exact dates. The announcement gave Legend of Metempsychosis a month, June 2027, and gave the three baihe novels only a year. All four series pages now carry a day, listed in the table above. Miss Forensics comes first of the baihe three, and the two Qing Jun Mo Xiao books follow two weeks apart in October 2027.

Update (October 23, 2026): two of those days have already moved. Seven Seas now lists Miss Forensics Vol. 1 for September 14, 2027 (it said July 6) and Matrilocal Marriage Vol. 1 for October 12, 2027 (it said August 24). Earlier versions of this article gave the old dates.

Seven Seas Anime Expo 2026: The Danmei and Baihe Titles

Legend of Metempsychosis is the only danmei license in the wave. DanmeiNews calls it "the third chronological entry in Fei Tian Ye Xiang's Exorcism universe," set after Dinghai Fusheng Records and Legend of Exorcism. Seven Seas pitched it as a "new high fantasy danmei adventure" from that author and universe. We covered the license on its own in Legend of Metempsychosis Gets a Seven Seas English License.

The baihe side is the bigger story. Seven Seas announced its baihe label back in February, crediting "overwhelming support" for its first baihe novel, The Beauty's Blade: Mei Ren Jian.

Then nothing followed for months. K Comics Beat put it plainly: "since the announcement on February 12th, no new novels have followed The Beauty's Blade series." The Anime Expo panel ended that wait with three at once.

• Miss Forensics by Jiu Nuan Chun Shen. Seven Seas calls it "the highly requested baihe/Chinese Girls' Love novel," a thriller about a forensic doctor and the cold detective she works with. Our Miss Forensics license article has the details.
• My Wandering Spirit Lady by Qing Jun Mo Xiao, a modern-day romance between a young woman and a ghost.
• Matrilocal Marriage: Ruzhui, also by Qing Jun Mo Xiao, a slow burn about a time-traveling woman and the heiress she marries out of convenience.

Danmei readers took the trade-off well. In the r/DanmeiNovels thread on the panel, u/Anny_200 was "glad to see Miss Forensics get licensed" while calling a single danmei pick "kind of disappointing." u/Imsad13 read it as timing: "I'm guessing they wanted baihe to have its moment." The guess held up. Seven Seas licensed three danmei novels at Anime NYC seven weeks later.

The Qing Jun Mo Xiao pair matter beyond their plots. DanmeiNews notes they "will be Qing Jun Mo Xiao's debut works in the English market" after another publisher's planned release of Female General and Eldest Princess was cancelled.

Our Take

The Seven Seas Anime Expo 2026 list is long, but almost none of it reaches a shelf before 2027, so don't treat it as a shopping list yet. The useful split is simple: one audiobook you can get now, a row of 2027 manga still dated only to the month, and four Chinese novels with real days on them.

If you read baihe, this is the panel that turned a February label promise into books, and Miss Forensics is the one to watch first. If you read danmei, Legend of Metempsychosis is the only title here. It follows Legend of Exorcism, which Seven Seas already sells in English, so there's plenty of time to read that before June 2027.
