Qidian Top Novels This Week: The Ranking Barely Moved
A dated look at Qidian's September 2026 monthly vote board: two days, no changes in the top five, and one finished book that slid later.
Verdict: Nothing moved in the top five between September 8 and 10; Ye Wu Jiang led and finished the month first, while the one completed book, Lao Shi Ren, fell from third to 13th.
The Qidian top novels didn't move between our September 8 and September 10 captures. Same five books, same order, each with more votes on the Qidian monthly ticket board. Ye Wu Jiang (夜无疆) led then, and it was still first when September closed. The one real change came later, when the only finished book in the top five fell to 13th.

Qidian describes the board as a ranking ordered by the monthly votes cast on its platform, and it resets every month.
| Rank | Novel | Author | Category | Votes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Ye Wu Jiang (夜无疆) | Chen Dong (辰东) | Eastern xuanhuan | 28,537 |
| 2 | Xuan Jian Xian Zu (玄鉴仙族) | Ji Yueren (季越人) | Xianxia, cultivation civilization | 25,254 |
| 3 | Lao Shi Ren (捞尸人) | Chun Jie Di Xiao Long (纯洁滴小龙) | Urban, special abilities | 23,747 |
| 4 | Mei Qian Xiu Shen Me Xian? (没钱修什么仙?) | Xiong Lang Gou (熊狼狗) | Xianxia, cultivation civilization | 22,455 |
| 5 | Qing Wu Gaokao Shi Du Jie (请勿高考时渡劫) | Zui Bai De Wu Ya (最白的乌鸦) | Urban abilities | 18,902 |
Ye Wu Jiang is Chen Dong's current book. Wikipedia lists it as Night Without Bounds, and Chen Dong also wrote Perfect World and Shrouding the Heavens. Lao Shi Ren is the odd one out: the board marks it complete (完本), with the author's afterword posted August 31.
Why the Qidian Top Novels Barely Moved
The two captures are only two days apart, so a frozen order isn't a surprise. What's worth noticing is the gap at the top. Ye Wu Jiang's lead over second place widened by a few hundred votes in those two days. Lao Shi Ren kept collecting votes a week and a half after it ended. Its readers were still paying to back a finished book.
One caution comes from someone who worked inside the system. goodmore233, who writes "Before joining Wuxiaworld, I worked as an editor at one of China's top web novel platforms", describes the monthly ticket ranking this way: it "Reflects support from paying users." and "authors can manipulate rankings, or organize their readers to do so." If you're wondering how books from this board later reach English readers, Webnovel vs Wuxiaworld vs Qidian International sorts out the platforms.

How September Finished

The September board is closed now; the totals were the same when we checked on October 8 and October 16. Four of the five mid-month leaders stayed in the top five:
| Final rank | Novel | Final September votes |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Ye Wu Jiang (夜无疆) | 200,539 |
| 2 | Xuan Jian Xian Zu (玄鉴仙族) | 187,707 |
| 3 | Mei Qian Xiu Shen Me Xian? (没钱修什么仙?) | 133,226 |
| 4 | Wu Dao! (武道!) by Tian Li (田隶) | 123,203 |
| 5 | Qing Wu Gaokao Shi Du Jie (请勿高考时渡劫) | 112,224 |
Lao Shi Ren, third on September 10, finished 13th. Its place went to Wu Dao!, a high-martial-world (高武世界) xuanhuan novel that wasn't in the top five in mid-September.

Our Take
A mid-month lead on Qidian held all the way: first and second on September 10 were first and second at the close. The finished book was the one that dropped. That fits a board where readers spend votes on stories they're still following. It's one month, so treat it as a pattern to watch, not a rule. For the rest of the month, see week 4 and the September snapshot. To follow the race across months, our Qidian monthly vote race timeline puts these board posts in date order.
How We Checked This
The mid-month figures come from our own screenshots. Qidian draws its vote counts in a scrambled font, so plain text copies don't show them. We reopened the final September board on October 16, 2026, and rechecked Wikipedia's Chen Dong page and the Reddit thread the same day.
