We didn't find an official English edition for any of the five below, so search by the Chinese title and author. All five are finished and filed under Qidian's classical xianxia (古典仙侠).

Read it if you want a plain cultivation climb with a woman at the centre; skip it if you want a love story. Qidian marks it 已完结 at 283.81 万字, about 2.84 million characters, with the final numbered chapter posted May 20, 2024. The synopsis tags it 【凡人流修仙+无cp大女主】, a mortal-path cultivation story with no pairing and a strong heroine, and promises "没有重生、穿书、金手指": no rebirth, no transmigration, no cheat.

We read the first chapter, 第一章 入外门, on October 16. It opens on a verdict: "许春娘，水木土三灵根，资质中等，入逍遥宗外门" (Xu Chunniang, water, wood and earth roots, average aptitude, outer sect of Xiaoyao Sect). She's an eight-year-old village girl on the immortals' flying boat, and her first happy thought is practical: she'll never go hungry again. Within a page a rich girl calls her a "脏乞丐" (dirty beggar) and an ugly freak because of the red birthmark on her face, the reason the village called her "阿丑". A boy from the next village stands up for her, then warns that once he's in the inner sect he won't be able to look out for her. It's a small, grounded start, and it explains the book's old title, 丑丫修真记, which the synopsis still lists.

2. 一仙难求, "A Hard-Won Immortality": The Classic

Read it for the price a woman pays to cultivate; skip it if you want comedy. The synopsis is blunt: for a woman cultivator, aptitude, methods, pills and tools "一样都不能少" (none can be missing), while feelings, weakness, mercy and greed "一样都不能多" (none can be too much). Qidian's author page lists it first among Yun Ji's representative works and credits her with "多部女性仙侠玄幻题材佳作", several female-led xianxia and xuanhuan novels. One booklist curator calls it their "个人修仙入门文", the book that got them into cultivation fiction.

3. 女配修仙记, "The Supporting Girl's Cultivation Record": The Easy Entry

Read it if you like a heroine who knows the script; skip it if paused-and-resumed books annoy you. Lian Jiajia (连葭葭) is a transmigrated "炮灰女" (cannon-fodder girl) stuck between two heroines. Her strategy, in the synopsis's words, ends with "扮猪吃老虎是王道" (playing weak to beat the strong is the way). The curator who listed it calls it "适合入门", good for beginners, and notes the author "中间停更过三次", paused it three times before finishing.

4. 仙本纯良, "Born Innocent, Supposedly": The Flawed One

Read it if you want a heroine you won't always like; skip it if you need a saint. The synopsis is a joke: Jin Feiyao (金飞瑶) dreams of a cultivation world "充满爱与和平", full of love and peace, with every scoundrel wiped out, and everyone tells her to start with herself. The curator who recommends it sells the flaws: "她拥有各种缺点，贪婪、自私、贪生怕死，非常不完美，但也非常真实" (she has every flaw, greedy, selfish, afraid of death, very imperfect, but very real). Their parting line: "不要因为这是女主修仙就先排斥" (don't dismiss it just because it's a female-led cultivation story).

5. 我做炮灰女配的那些年, "My Years as the Cannon-Fodder Sister": The Sisters' Climb

Read it for three women climbing together; skip it if you want a solo lead. Chu Yu (楚瑜) "一开始以为自己穿的是古代宅斗副本", thought she'd landed in a household-drama story, then finds she's in "大女主天赋流的修真文", a talent-driven strong-heroine cultivation story, as the weakest of three sisters. All three want to see "这仙路至高处的风景", the view from the top of the immortal path. The author's note: "目测无CP", by the look of it, no pairing.
